I just found this web site and was wondering if you could help me with the marriage of Andrew Smith and Nancy Fowler. I think it might be around 1850. I do know that their son was born around 1851. According to census records on their son, who married in 1881 at the age of 30, shows that Andrew Smith was born in Illinois and Nancy Fowler in Tennessee.

KING, BREWER Elias P. King married Mary Ann Brewer in Edwards Co., Ill., Oct. 4, 1870. Apparently he had died by 1880 and his widow had married Adam Dosier. Census records for 1880 and 1900 list Elias's two children Josephine (Josie) and Ellen (Mat, Mattie) and give their father's place of birth as Pennsylvania. Was he related to Elias King, 74, b. Penn., head of a household in Bond Co., Ill., 1860 census? Was Elias King of Bond Co. the same Elias listed in Delaware Co., Ind., in the 1850 census (age 63, b. Penn.)? I would like to hear from any descendants or anyone with information about these families.

Looking for information on Pulliam Higginbotham b. ca 1794 in Elbert Co., GA & d. ca 1846 in Poinsett Co., AR. He was supposedly married in Perry or Hardin Co., TN and secondary information say he moved to Edwards County, IL with his father in law, Aquilla McCracken. So he would have been married to Aquilla's daughter. I can find no record of marriage so don't know who his first wife was. She would have been the mother of my gggrandfather Franklin H. Higginbotham 16 Oct. 1815 in Wayne Co., IL. After the death of this mysterious wife, he married Nancy (Lane) McCracken 16 August 1832 in Edwards Co., IL who was married to Aquilla McCracken, Jr. before his death. I found documentation of last marriage. Any help with first marriage will be greatly appreciated.
