I'm looking for information on "Curtisville". The information I've got on my Great Grandfather states that the was born in Curtisville, IL. The closest thing I've found so far is a reference to a historical site near Albion called 'Curtisville school'. I'm guessing that the Curtisville I'm looking for must have been a precinct of another town or just a small village which is no longer in existence. I'd love to hear any information you've got on this area. Thanks.

My multiple great grandparents were residents of Edwards County from about 1817 to 1844. James Overstreet married Susanna Holland in Crawford County, Illinois, in 1817. Their children included William Henry Harrison Overstreet. James Overstreet died in Edwards County in 1839 without a will. William Henry Harrison Overstreet probated his estate. He was then 21 or 22 years of age. His father in law, Thomas Carney, was a witness in his behalf. I believe there were a number of younger children including a Milton Overstreet. William Overstreet left Edwards County in about 1844 for Barry County Missouri. The Carney's moved at the same time. (He married Mary Ann Carney) Mary Ann Carney's parents were Thomas Carney and Nancy Susan Warmoth, whose families were also early settlers of Edwards County. Any information about these families would be appreciated.
